Cawleys

Introduction

Cawleys is a family owned and run waste management and recycling requirements company. The company has been dedicated to recycling and diverting waste away from landfill since the 1970's when its first Waste Reclamation Factory was constructed in Luton. Since then the site has been developed and now houses a 40 000 sq ft Materials Recycling Facility which enables Cawleys to reclaim and recycle as much material as possible be it Card, Paper, Plastic, Scrap Metal or Wood.

The brief

Since the business has been running for over 60 years it was time for them to bring the branding into the 21st Century. So the challenge was to produce a branding which brought the company up-to-date and reflected there strong recycling side of the business. The only one restriction that the corporate red and blue colour was to remain.

The design

Working closely with Cawleys the new branding was created, with the use of a san serif font with clean edges along with a strong recycling element symbolize by the curved arrow icon keeping the logo simple and clean brings the logo up-to-date. With the logo completed a corporate brand style was created to be used across every aspect of the business image. Using white space and a collection of waste and landscape images in a montage format incorporating the corporate blue colour was used to create a clean and fresh approach to the overall brands look and feel.

With the logo and brand styling created the every aspects of the company was brought up-to-date to ensure the company gave a strong, clean and consistent image through out there printed and on-line communications including:
